The Kenilworth Recreation Center in Washington, DC welcomed a transformed 6,378 square foot outdoor activity pool in 2017 that serves as a vibrant community gathering place. Designed in collaboration with Counsilman-Hunsaker, this facility features a beach entry play area that provides safe, gradual water access for young children and individuals with mobility challenges, paired with premium radius stainless steel gutter systems that ensure superior water circulation and the clean, modern aesthetic befitting the nation’s capital.

The result is apool that serves DC residents with the quality and accessibility standards expected of public aquatic facilities—providing a cool respite during summer months while supporting water safety education and community recreation programs that strengthen neighborhood bonds.
