Kroc Corps Community Center

The Salvation Army’s Kroc Corps Community Center in Philadelphia brings world-class aquatic facilities to underserved communities, embodying the organization’s mission of hope and transformation. Completed in 2010 in collaboration with Ohlson Lavoie Collaborative, this dual-pool complex features a 6,165 square foot lap pool for fitness and swim instruction alongside a 4,002 square foot activity pool equipped with slides and interactive water features—creating an environment where community members of all ages can learn water safety, pursue fitness goals, and experience the joy of aquatic recreation.

The thoughtful design ensures that adults can swim laps and participate in aquatics fitness classes while children safely enjoy the activity pool’s engaging features under supervision. Main Line Commercial Pools understood the importance of this project beyond construction specifications—this facility serves as a gateway to opportunity, providing Philadelphia families with access to quality aquatic programming, swim lessons that build life-saving skills, and a safe space for community gathering. The result is more than a pool; it’s an investment in the health, safety, and well-being of an entire community.
