Washington and Lee University’s 9,682 square foot competition pool in Lexington, Virginia represents a significant investment in the institution’s Division III athletic program and campus recreation offerings. Completed in 2017 in partnership with Counsilman/Hunsaker & Associates, this state-of-the-art facility provides student athletes with a competitive edge while serving the broader university community’s fitness and wellness needs.
The competition pool supports W&L’s nationally recognized men’s and women’s swim teams while accommodating recreational swimming, fitness classes, and intramural activities. Main Line Commercial Pools brought extensive experience in collegiate aquatic facilities to the project, ensuring the pool meets NCAA competition standards while delivering the reliability and efficiency essential for a university environment where the facility operates as both a training ground for elite student athletes and a vital campus recreation resource.
